Katy asked: It’s a Dell, normal-size, new-at-purchase pc. I have Norton Anti-virus, anti-spam, all that; and I do Full System Scans about 2-4 times per month. Every now and then I clear out all of my cookies and browsing history.
My connection isn’t always slow, but seems to be getting more and more that way, the longer I’ve had this computer. Sometimes restarting will help–although it takes forever to do that too. Sometimes out of frustration I will just hold down the power button on the computer to turn it off faster. It seems to have touble following my commands quickly, both with navigation and with turning it off.
Could this new slowness be caused by wireless users in my area? If so, how do I block them from using my connection? Is that even possible?
If that’s not the culprit, I don’t know what is. I really don’t want to buy a new computer right now. Thanks for any helpful advice.
