Outlook Express users want a straightforward cure for SPAM?

It isn’t really a cure. But it’s a definite improvement
unless you are using a worthwhile anti-spam.

Why isn’t Outlook Express blocking spam?

Security
Kay B asked:

For some reason my Message Rules aren’t effecting spam from entering my inbox, even when the message meets the criteria of my message rules (specifically those pertaining to words found in the body of the message).

For example if I configure it to: “Apply this rule after the message arrives where the message body contains MONOPOLY delete it from the server”.

I then send myself an email from my yahoo account with the word MONOPOLY in the body and it shows up in my Outlook inbox.

If I change “delete from server” to “Delete it”, it will divert the message to my Delete box, but I want to configure it so no spam gets into Outlook at all. If I select the action “Do not download from the server, it still shows up in my inbox.

Is it that Outlook message rules only work AFTER the message is received, and I’m forced to have these messages end up in my delete box or inbox?

My previous anti-spam program worked well until a ‘version upgrade’ made it seem more like a downgrade.

How to prevent receiving my e-mail in Outlook Express doubled?

♥ FairLady ♥ asked:

Hi everyone,
I think it started after I installed anti-spam software. I have the same e-mail doubled - one is normal, and another is “empty”.

It floods my mail and eventually I get “overquota” message.

Does anybody know why I get them doubled, and what to do to stop it???
Thanks guys !!!! I really honestly appreciate your help.
